Course Overview
Are you interested in expanding and improving your preventive treatment options and patient outcomes? If so, join Kerry as she explores the significance of tailoring treatment plans to each patient's unique needs, as well as their periodontal stage and grade. She will examine fluoride treatment protocols, application techniques, and criteria for patient selection. Kerry will highlight the expanding role of adjunctive therapies, such as diode lasers and targeted home care strategies, in supporting a stable, healthy oral environment. To round out the preventive toolkit, whitening will be discussed as both an esthetic motivator and a clinical opportunity to reinforce daily home care habits. Together, we can make significant progress in preventive care and ensure a brighter future for our clients' dental health.

Kerry Lepicek is an experienced dental hygienist with over 20 years of clinical practice. She works at Clinical Research Dental as a Clinical Specialist in Dental Hygiene and Education and part-time in a general practice. Kerry’s expertise includes oral biofilm, halitosis, the oral-systemic connection, and the dental hygiene process of care. She is focused on educating patients and the dental profession on health and wellness. Kerry is involved in various dental organizations, including section editor for Women in Dentistry, on the Research Advisory Committee for the Ontario Dental Hygiene Association, and on the advisory board for AAOSH. She recently received the Distinguished Services Award from Ontario Dental Hygienists Association (ODHA) for outstanding contributions to the dental hygiene profession and the Association.
